The Title of this Blog
Despite the title, this blog has nothing to do with fish, sadly. I like fish and just yesterday (which is when I started this blog) I purchased several new individuals for the fish tank in my dorm room. The blog itself is mandatory for a journalism class that I am taking. I have never had a blog before, and if it were not required for the class never would. Anyway, last night while a friend and I were admiring the beauty of my new aquatic roommates and getting all of our assignments finished up at the last minute (just the way a college student is supposed to do..) I remembered that I hadn't started my blog yet... so I did. While I was sitting in front of my computer in the process of over thinking possible titles for a blog that I was not at all invested in my friend jokingly suggested "fish are cool" adding "bro" as an afterthought, so I said why not?

My First Interview Assignment
I just finished my first interview assignment for my journalism class, just finished as in immediately prior to creating this blog for the purpose of writing about my journalism class (another assignment). That was all about ten minutes ago. Anyway, like a typical college student I put all of my work off until Sunday (today) and still managed to take a break for several hours to go out and buy more fish! Actually it's now just past midnight, so yesterday.
Sorry, back on track. I interviewed my dorm mate who lives across the hall from me, his name is Victor and he is from Barcelona Spain. I am very inexperienced with interviewing people but never the less did not feel uncomfortable interviewing him because he lives in my dorm so I already knew him and he is quite an agreeable guy. I did find the note taking to be a little awkward; I have never been a big note take and would have liked to have gotten more quotes to put into my story about him rather than paraphrases. The writing itself went quite well, like I just said I wish I had been able to get more quotes, but the almost two pages flowed right out onto my computer screen without very much difficulty.
And that's pretty much it, class at 4:10 tomorrow, I'll bring my knitting as usual. It is now 12:17 am, good morning everyone!
